Police Monday were seeking information about the wounding of two people in separate shootings — one in Echo Park and the other in the Pico-Union area — that involved the same suspect vehicle.

Both male victims were hospitalized in stable condition after the shootings, the first of which occurred about 3:40 p.m. Sunday in the 2400 block of Kent Street in Echo Park, near Rampart Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The second shooting occurred about 20 minutes later in the 1600 block of West 12th Place, near Union Avenue, police said.

“The suspect vehicle in both shootings was described as a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with a ladder in the bed area,” according to an LAPD statement.

The truck, which was captured on surveillance video, had custom black rims and a possible partial license plate number of 931 or 331, police said.

One suspect was described as a 20- to 21-year-old man who weighs 180-200 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.  He was wearing a black T-shirt.

Anyone with information about the shootings was urged to call Rampart Area gang detectives at (213) 484-3660.

After-hours or weekend calls should be directed to (877) LAPD-24-7 and anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers by calling (800) 222- TIPS.
