Officers responded about 3:55 p.m. to a report of a shooting in the 2900 block of South Crenshaw Boulevard, according to Officer Rosario Herrera of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.
She confirmed that a homicide investigation was underway at the location and that investigators were looking for a suspect described only as a man between 30 and 35 years old, but provided no further details.
The victim was dead at the scene, according to broadcast reports.
