Two hikers who became lost in deep terrain in Topanga State Park in Pacific Palisades were rescued by helicopters Friday.
A woman in her 40s and a man about 30 years used a cellphone to call for help just after 7 p.m., said Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
LAFD helicopter pilots spotted the pair and Los Angeles County Fire Department helicopters were used to hoist them to safety at about 7:35 p.m., Bastman said.
Neither hiker required hospitalization, Bastman said.
