A crash Monday involving a big rig and a cement truck snarled afternoon rush-hour traffic on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway, but there were no reports of injuries.
The crash was reported at 3:40 p.m. on the northbound side of the freeway near Escondido Canyon Road in Acton, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Only the northbound carpool lane was open following the crash and a SigAlert was issued, the CHP reported.
By about 5:45 p.m., two more northbound lanes were re-opened, but traffic remained backed up to Sand Canyon Road.
