Two men were arrested Friday for using rocks to burglarize and vandalize a few vehicles in Palmdale, authorities said.
The sheriff’s Palmdale Station received several calls around midnight for service stemming from acts of vandalism in the area of Tierra Subida Avenue and Fifth Street West, said sheriff’s Lt. Robert Farkas.
The men were driving around the area looking for cars to break into and were using rocks to break the vehicles’ windows, Farkas said.
As one deputy was taking a report from one the victims, the victim pointed the suspects out as they drove by and a traffic stop was conducted, Farkas said.
The two men were arrested and evidence of the vehicle burglaries was found in the vehicle they were traveling in, Farkas said. Three vehicles were burglarized and three vehicles were vandalized. The pair will be facing burglary and vandalism charges, the lieutenant said.
