An overnight driver’s license/sobriety checkpoint in Lancaster netted 10 arrests while other errant motorists were only cited, a sheriff’s sergeant said Saturday.
The checkpoint at Third Street East and Avenue I began at 6 p.m. Friday ending at 2 a.m. Saturday, said Sgt. Robert Hill of the sheriff’s Traffic Safety Operations.
During that time, one motorist was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and another motorist was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, Hill said.
Also, 10 motorists were either arrested or cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended or revoked license, he said.
