A motorcyclist traveling at over 100 miles per hour led California Highway Patrol officers on a 25-minute pursuit on the Foothill (210) Freeway Monday from Pasadena to Pacoima, authorities said.
He was finally nabbed by authorities after he ditched the bike and tried to escape on foot, but fell down a hill. It was not disclosed if he was injured in the fall.
It started at 1:08 a.m. when officers observed the speeding motorcyclist on the Foothill Freeway at Allen Avenue in Pasadena, said CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig.
The pursuit continued on the Foothill Freeway at speeds in excess of 100 mph through La Canada-Flintridge, Montrose, Glendale and Lake View Terrace before the motorcyclist left the freeway at Maclay Avenue in Pacoima and took off on foot through the Pacoima Wash, Kravig said.
The motorcyclist was arrested about 1:30 a.m. after falling down a hill, she said.
Booking charges were to be determined, Kravig said.
