Police Thursday sought public help to identify a man who robbed banks in Burbank and South Pasadena on the same day.
The first heist occurred about 4:20 p.m. Monday at a U.S. Bank branch at 1750 W. Olive Ave. in Burbank. About 45 minutes later, the same suspect robbed a Wells Fargo branch in the 1000 block of Fair Oaks Avenue in South Pasadena.
The man used a demand note in both crimes, said Burbank police Sgt. Derek Green.
Police circulated photos of the man and his possible getaway vehicle. He was described as possibly of Armenian descent, 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 200 pounds, with facial hair.
He may have fled in a black Ford Flex SUV with a silver top, a moon roof and aluminum paneling on the tailgate.
Anyone with information on his identity or whereabouts was urged to call Burbank police at (818) 238-3210, or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
