A man was shot to death Monday in Trinity Park in South Los Angeles, authorities said.

The shooting was reported at 2:30 a.m. in the park at 24th and Trinity streets, said Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Division.

The man, estimated to be between 20 and 25, was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene, Eisenman said. The shooting was believed gang-related.

The suspect or suspects fled the scene, she said.
