One victim was in critical condition after he was shot in an apparent dispute in Boyle Heights early Sunday morning, according to Sgt. Michael Morisseau of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The shooting was reported in the 900 block of Bernal Avenue, near East 7th Street, at 4:45 a.m., he said.

The man was shot several times in the abdomen and was transported to a hospital where he is undergoing surgery.
The suspect, identified only as a heavy-set male, fled. Police were in the area investigating.
