An approximately 30-year-old man was wounded Friday in a drive-by shooting in South Los Angeles.
The man was walking in the 8100 block of Avalon Boulevard, about 5:30 p.m. when a gray car approached and shots were fired from the vehicle, according to Officer Drake Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department‘s Media Relations Section.

The victim was struck by the gunfire. He was taken to a hospital, but his condition was not immediately available, Madison said.
It was not immediately clear if the shooting was gang-related, he said.
