The identity of the Corona man killed when a van he was working on fell on him was made public Sunday.
Jorge Avalos, 33, of Corona, died at about 6 p.m. Friday at the scene of the accident at the Corona Village Apartments, in the 900 block of Smith Avenue, the Corona Fire Department said.
Firefighters spent about 15 minutes freeing the man’s body from the wreckage, authorities said.
