Forward progress of a brush fire burning off the northbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Santa Clarita Sunday has been stopped, according to reports.

Los Angeles County firefighters have battled the slow-moving blaze, which broke out around 5:45 p.m. near Placerita Canyon Road.

As of 8:30 p.m. officials reported the fire had consumed approximately 4 acres, and by 9:30 p.m. the blaze was 75 percent contained.

There are no reports of injuries or threats to structures.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
