A driver was killed Friday when her vehicle rear-ended a big rig in Northridge, police said.
The car was eastbound about 4:40 p.m. on Nordhoff Street near Balboa Boulevard when the car struck the big rig, according to Officer Drake Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department‘s Media Relations Section.
The female was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, Madison said.
There were no reports of any other serious injuries as a result of the collision, he said.
