At least one person was killed Sunday in a crash in the San Gorgonio Pass, involving a semi truck and a convertible.
The crash was reported at 4 p.m. on the eastbound Interstate 10 about three miles east of Cabazon.
A semi truck and a convertible collided, causing the convertible to overturn, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A second crash also occurred nearby, involving at least two pickup trucks, the CHP said.
It was unclear if the first crash triggered the second crash, a CHP dispatcher said.
Initial reports indicate that between the two crashes, in addition to the person killed, at least one other person was hospitalized.
