A West Hollywood suspected DUI driver was detained after two pedestrians suffered what appeared to be minor injuries when they were struck by the motorist’s car pulling out of a West Hollywood driveway, authorities said Monday.

While the location was in the vicinity of the LA Pride Festival that was just winding down when the pedestrians were hit, authorities said they didn’t know if any of the people involved had attended the event.

It happened at 10:04 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of North La Peer Drive, Sgt. L. Eddins of the Sheriff’s West Hollywood Station said. The injured were taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center for treatment, he said, adding that the driver was detained on suspicion of DUI.

The pedestrians’ ages and genders were not available and Eddins said he did not know if they were leaving the West Hollywood LA Pride Festival at the time.
