Sheriff’s detectives were continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the suspicious death of a woman Sunday morning in Carson.
The woman’s discovery took place around 3:30 a.m. in the 800 block of East Pacific Street, said Deputy Jeff Gordon.

Carson deputies had responded to a “person down” call when they located the victim who had suffered a “traumatic injury” to her upper chest, Gordon said. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
