A North Palm Springs woman has been charged with felony stalking and multiple counts of violating a restraining order after police say she allegedly phoned her ex-husband 72 times in fewer than five hours.

Lisa Gonzalez, 39, is accused of making the calls on May 22 between 8:51 a.m. and 1:24 p.m., despite being prohibited from contacting her ex in person or via telephone due to a domestic violence restraining order.

Gonzalez was also charged Thursday with misdemeanor domestic violence in a separate case for the alleged assault, in which she accused of striking her ex- husband and the couple’s daughter.

The victim told police that he answered five of the May 22 calls, then told Gonzalez to stop calling or he would call the police, according to an arrest warrant declaration.

In addition to felony stalking and stalking with an active restraining order, Gonzalez was charged Thursday with two counts of domestic violence, four counts of violating a court order to prevent domestic violence, vandalism and making harassing phone calls.
