A man whose body was found in a pond near downtown Corona was identified Thursday, but the cause of his death remained under investigation.
Andre Scotka, 54, was found about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the community pond fronting the 1400 block of Camelot Drive, just off of Border Avenue. His hometown was unknown.
The Corona Police Department is awaiting autopsy results before releasing any further details.
Groundskeepers at the townhouse community were the first to spot the body floating in the water and alerted authorities. It was unclear how many hours the body had been in the water.
