A man was stabbed to death in Las Palmas Park in San Fernando, authorities said Wednesday.
The stabbing was reported at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday at the park at 505 S. Huntington St., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which is assisting San Fernando police in the investigation.
Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters found the victim down behind the softball fields. It appeared he suffered at least one stab wound to the body, said sheriff’s Deputy Kelvin Moody.
The man died at the scene, Moody said. No information on a suspect or motive was immediately available. The victim’s identity was not made public.
