
It took 62 Los Angeles firefighters about 45 minutes to put out a fire in one-half acre of medium and heavy vegetation at Griffith Park on Saturday afternoon.
It was reported at 5:25 p.m. near Griffith Park Drive and Crystal Springs Drive, said Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department. The flames were out at 6:10 p.m.
Los Angeles County Fire Department helicopter and ground crews assisted in the operation, Bastman said.
No structures were threatened, there were no evacuations and there were no reports of injured civilians or firefighters, she said.
