A fire was burning at a Montebello auto repair shop Wednesday morning, leaving around 160 customers without power, authorities said.
An explosion at the two-story shop was reported around 12:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Whittier Boulevard, according to the Montebello Fire Department.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was determined to be equipment damage, according to the Southern California Edison outage website.
Firefighters were still battling the blaze at 5:15 a.m.
