A pedestrian was fatally struck Wednesday evening by a Metrolink train in Pacoima.
The victim was hit about 8:10 p.m. near the 9800 block of San Fernando Road, near Branford Street, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The pedestrian, whose gender and age were not immediately available, was pronounced dead at the scene, Stewart said.
