
A gunman Monday robbed a Van Nuys take-out business, prompting a perimeter search.
The suspect pointed a gun during the robbery, which was reported just before 4 p.m. at Pollo Campero in the 7200 block of Van Nuys Boulevard, near Sherman Way, according to Los Angeles police Officer Mike Lopez.

An employee slipped out of the business and called 911, Lopez said.
The suspect, described only as a man, ran from the scene and officers surrounded the area in an effort to find him, the officer said.
