The Orange County Coroner’s Office Tuesday identified a 68- year-old woman who was killed when she was ejected from a Ford Explorer that rolled over on the Riverside (91) Freeway at Imperial Highway in Anaheim.

The woman was Maria Rangel of Santa Ana.

The crash happened about 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Filimon Rangel Castro, 68, of Santa Ana, was driving the 1996 Ford Explorer east in the number four lane about 60 to 65 mph, according to the California Highway Patrol. For unknown reasons, Castro lost control and swerved to the right toward the shoulder, where the vehicle overturned, according to the CHP.

Three women were ejected from the vehicle. Maria Rangel was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 3:19 p.m. Monday, according to the coroner’s office.

Castro was taken to OC Global Medical Center in Santa Ana. The women and another man, who is 61, were taken to UCI.
