No firefighters were injured in the crash, Humphrey said. The woman driving the minivan received medical treatment from the paramedics on Engine 3, which was involved in the crash.
The woman was transported to a hospital in fair condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
The LAFD engine was traveling with normal traffic and wasn’t using lights or sirens on its return trip to the station, Humphrey added.
The crash remained under investigation by Los Angeles police.
