
A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck about 3 miles northwest of Westwood late Monday evening.
The quake occurred at 11:20 p.m. and was 6 miles deep, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage, according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Los Angeles Division.
The quake was felt as far away as Palmdale, Riverside and Laguna Beach, according to the USGS citizen-response system.
There was no indication that this quake may be a harbinger of a larger earthquake coming for the Southland.
