Two men, one of them a murder suspect and fugitive from Texas, were arrested early Tuesday after a search following a pursuit crash in Woodland Hills, police said.
The crash was reported shortly after 12:30 a.m. in the area of West Chester Drive and Kingsboro Way, the Los Angeles Police Department reported. The men bailed from the vehicle on foot and were found a short time later, police said.
One of the suspects, 18-year-old Christopher Gonzalez, was on Texas’ Top 10 Most Wanted List, according to the Dallas Police Department, who said they tracked him to the Southland “after he posted his location on Instagram Live.“
Gonzalez is a suspect in the Aug. 21, 2016, shooting death of 54-year- old Horace Davis, according to Dallas police, who said he was 17 at the time of the crime.
A warrant was issued for his arrest, and on Monday, Dallas police detectives said they contacted their counterparts in the LAPD and requested assistance in arresting Gonzalez, who will be extradited back to Dallas to face a murder charge.
According to media reports, Gonzalez posted a live video showing weapons that included a shotgun.
The name of the second suspect was not immediately released.
