A two-vehicle crash involving a big rig in Northridge Thursday left a person dead and another person critically injured.
Paramedics sent to the 18500 block of West Roscoe Boulevard about 6:45 a.m. pronounced the person dead at the scene, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported. The gender of the fatally injured person was not immediately known.
A woman was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Both were occupants of the smaller vehicle. The trucker was not hurt.
The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
