A man and a woman were shot to death Saturday morning in Lancaster.
The double shooting was reported at 1:46 a.m. in the 43000 block of Sixth Street East, according to Deputy Kimberly Alexander of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Deputies responding to an “assault with a deadly weapon” call found the shooting victims, described as a man and a woman in their early 20s or late teens, each lying in the street suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper body, said Deputy Jeffrey Gordon of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The victims were pronounced dead at the scene, Alexander said.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives were interviewing multiple witnesses at the scene, and asked anyone with information regarding the shooting to call them at (323) 890-5500.
