Police Saturday were seeking the public’s help in locating three armed robbers wanted for a takeover robbery at a South Los Angeles business in which an employee was tied up and assaulted.

The suspects entered the business in the 3300 block of South Central Avenue, near Jefferson Boulevard, about 7:05 a.m. last Friday and, after tying up an employee, ransacked the premises and removed an undisclosed amount of money, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

“During the robbery, the suspects physically assaulted the employee,” according to an LAPD statement. “The suspects fled in a 2017 black Ford Explorer with paper plates.”

Two of the suspects were described as 40-year-old black men with brown eyes. One was 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighed about 160 pounds and wore a black leather jacket, black jeans and black shoes. The other was 6 feet tall, weighed about 170 pounds and wore a black T-shirt, black pants and gray shoes.

The third suspect was described only as a male who was wearing a blue baseball cap, blue shirt and black shoes.
