A person was struck by a Metro train Friday in downtown Los Angeles.
The pedestrian ended up under the train after being struck around 5:15 p.m. at the Pico Station near Pico Boulevard and Flower Street, according to Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The patient, who did not require extrication, was taken to a hospital, Bastman said. The extent of the person’s injuries was unknown.
The person’s age and gender were not immediately available.
Trains used a single track after the pedestrian was struck, but service returned to normal by about 6:15 p.m., Metro’s Kim Upton said.
