Police asked for the public’s help Tuesday to identify two suspects involved in the shooting death of a man in Van Nuys, authorities said.
The victim was Carlos Rios Peralta, 21, of Panorama City, according to coroner’s Investigator Kristy McCracken.
The shooting was reported at about 1 a.m. Saturday in the 15400 block of Valerio Street, Los Angeles police said.
Investigators have learned the man now identified as Rios Peralta was speaking with two suspects when one produced a handgun, shot the victim and both suspects fled on foot, police said.
Peralta was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
