Authorities circulated a photo Friday of a 62-year-old battery suspect wanted for grabbing a woman and kissing her arm and possibly assaulting other women in Pasadena.
The battery occurred around 6:45 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of Garfield Avenue where police said Benito Navas approached a woman and made inappropriate and offensive comments while she was walking.
The victim did not respond, fearing that Navas would become violent, said Pasadena police Lt. Jesse Carrillo. Navas then reached out, grabbed one of the victim’s arms, and kissed it before she could pull away, he said.
Through the investigation, detectives learned that Navas has recently approached numerous residents, primarily females, in the Pasadena City Hall area, displaying similar erratic or unwelcome behavior, Carrillo said.
Police asked anyone who has been a victim of Navas’ to contact the Pasadena Police Department immediately at (626) 744-4241.
