A person was stabbed Friday near downtown Long Beach, police said.
It occurred about 9:30 a.m. near Long Beach Boulevard and Ninth Street, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
The victim, described only as a male, had been stabbed “multiple times” and was hospitalized in unknown condition, police said.
Authorities were seeking a heavy-set man who wore a plaid shirt. Police were unsure of a motive for the crime, or if the suspect and victim knew each other.
