South Park shooting victim identified: Killer still a mystery

A man who was fatally shot in the South Park area of Los Angeles was identified Tuesday, but his killer remained at large.

Hector Martin, 31, of Los Angeles died at the scene of the shooting, which occurred about 6:30 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of West 57th Street, according to the coroner’s office and the Los Angeles Police Department.

The suspect was described only as a male. Anyone with information on the crime was urged to call (877) LAPD-247.
