The body of a man who may have taken his own life was found Wednesday at the base of a cliff in the Point Dume area of Malibu, authorities said.
The body was discovered about 7:45 a.m., according to Spencer Parker, a lifeguard specialist with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The death of the man, who appeared to have been his 50s, was being investigated as a possible suicide, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
