Police Sunday had a murder mystery on their hands as they tried to figure out who gunned down a man on a South Los Angeles street.
The man was shot to death Saturday about 8:40 p.m. at 87th Street and Avalon Boulevard, said Lt. Ray Garvin of the Los Angeles Police Department Southeast Station.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Garvin said.
Detectives were conducting an on scene investigation to search for leads, he said.
No other details were available about the victim, the killer or a possible motive.
