The circumstances of a baby boy’s death Monday in Compton were being investigated by sheriff’s homicide detectives.
Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives were dispatched to the 4100 block of North Long Beach Boulevard to investigate the fatality, which was reported at 12:38 p.m., according to Deputy Guillermina Saldana.
The child was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Saldana said.
