Authorities Friday identified a young man who was fatally shot in the Westlake District.
The shooting occurred about 6:45 p.m. Thursday in the area of Witmer and Third streets, according to Officer Sal Ramirez of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Giovanni Cisneros, 19, of Los Angeles died at the scene, the coroner’s office reported.
The suspect, described only as a tattooed man in his 20s, was last seen running north on Witmer Street wearing a dark gray T-shirt and checkered shorts, according to Officer Tony Im.
