A fire damaged a carport, several vehicles and two apartment buildings in Inglewood, but no one was hurt, authorities said Friday.

Firefighters sent to the 500 block of South Flower street at 11:53 p.m. Thursday extinguished the flames in about 45 minutes, the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported.

The cause of the fire was under investigation. A damage estimate was not immediately available. About 30 residents were affected.

The flames damaged power lines and knocked out some electricity in the area.
