Police Thursday released an image of a suspect who snatched a package from the front of a Santa Clarita home.

The theft occurred about 8:35 a.m. Nov. 29 in the 25900 block of Palomita Drive, according to Shirley Miller, public information officer at the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s station.

“He walked up to the front of the residence, grabbed a package containing electronics and entered the passenger’s side of what appears to be a dark blue Toyota Matrix 4-door hatchback sedan,” Miller said.

The suspect is described as white or Hispanic, 20-30 years old with a goatee and dark, combed-back hair.

“Package thefts continue to be a problem in the Santa Clarita Valley and we would like to get him identified as soon as possible,” Miller said.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect was urged to call (661) 255-1121, extension 2317, to speak with Detective O’Brien. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
