Authorities Wednesday identified a man who was killed when a pickup truck crashed into his disabled Honda as he stood next to the car on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Sun Valley.
The crash occurred at 11:40 p.m. Saturday on the northbound freeway, south of Branford Street, the California Highway Patrol reported.

According to the CHP, Lucas was standing next to his Honda Accord in the No. 5 lane when the driver of a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck that was northbound in the same lane swerved to the left to avoid hitting the car and instead hit the right front of a Ford van that was northbound in the No. 4 lane.
