A 30-year-old transient with an apparent vision impairment was behind bars Thursday following his arrest for allegedly groping women in Glendale.

Anthony Ramsey, who frequents Glendora and Azusa, was arrested on Dec. 3, according to Glendora police.

The alleged sexual batteries were reported by four different women between Nov. 21 and Dec. 1, Glendora police Public Information Officer Shawna Celello.

The women “came forward and reported being sexually battered by an unidentified white male who appeared to be blind and used a cane,” Celello said.

“The suspect approached the victims and asked for directions,” Cellelo said.

Ramsey allegedly groped the women after they agreed to help him, she said.

Ramsey later admitted to the batteries and was positively identified by the victims, according to Cellelo.

He has since been charged by the District Attorney’s Office with for counts of sexual battery, she said.

Ramsey was being held at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility near downtown Los Angeles in lieu of $80,000 bail and was next due in court on Monday in West Covina, according to sheriff’s online inmate records.

Anyone with information about the investigation was urged to call Glendora police Detective Chris Farino at (626) 914-8284.
