A fire has charred two acres behind Occidental College in Eagle Rock, but no one was injured.
The blaze was reported at 9:45 p.m. Thursday south of the swimming pool on campus, which is located at 1922 N. Campus Road.
More than 90 firefighters and a helicopter were called to the scene and faced challenges to reach the blaze, said Margaret Stewart of the Lost Angeles Fire Department.
It took an hour and 21 minutes to knock down the fire, she said. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
