A seven-vehicle wreck late Wednesday afternoon on the Riverside (91) Freeway in Corona injured two people and prompted the California Highway Patrol to partially close the freeway.
The chain collision was reported about 4:45 p.m. in the middle of the eastbound 91 at Main Street, according to the CHP.
One person suffered moderate injuries, and another had minor injuries, according to the Corona Fire Department. Both were taken to Corona Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Several SUVs, pickup trucks and sedans were involved in the crash, though there was no word on what triggered it.
All five eastbound lanes were temporarily blocked, causing traffic to spill into downtown Corona, according to reports from the scene.
A SigAlert was issued at 4:45 p.m. due to the blockage.
CHP officers were able to re-open a lane just after 5 p.m.
