Cynthia Szukala, 69, of Los Angeles died at the scene of her injury, which occurred about 10 p.m. Thursday in the 3700 block of Union Pacific Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Police said the woman lived in a motorhome in the neighborhood, and was looking for a lost cat when she was run over by the 18-wheeler, which kept going.
Szukala’s daughter appealed for the trucker to contact police.
“Just come clean, please, to give our family some peace,” Aileen Kemper told ABC7.
A standing reward of up to $50,000 has been offered by the city of Los Angeles for information that could help police solve a hit and run. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call (877) LAPD-247.
