Long Beach firefighters quickly put out flames Thursday started by an arsonist in front of an auto body shop, authorities said.
It happened about 4 a.m. in the 300 block of West Pacific Coast Highway, fire officials said.
There was smoke and flames in front of the shop when they arrived and the fire was out at 4:13 a.m., firefighters said.
A destructive device thrown against the building started the fire, fire officials said.
