A 24-year-old pedestrian who was killed Monday on the Foothill (210) Freeway in Pasadena was identified Monday evening by the coroner’s office.
The death of Luis Cruz was reported at 1 a.m. on the westbound 210 at Fair Oaks Avenue, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Stephan Brandt and the coroner’s office.
Reports from the scene indicated Cruz was struck multiple times and one of the vehicles included a 2005 Dodge, the CHP reported.
A SigAlert was issued shutting down all westbound lanes at Fair Oaks Avenue and all westbound traffic was diverted off the freeway at Marengo Avenue, Brandt said. The far right lanes were reopened at 5:23 a.m.
The CHP’s Altadena office asked anyone who saw the crash to call them at (626) 296-8100.
