A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed Friday in the Walnut Park area, authorities said.
The man, who was in his 30s, died at the scene of his injury, which occurred about 5:25 a.m. near Florence and Stafford avenues, according to the coroner’s office and the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities withheld the name of the man, pending family notification. The circumstances of the death were under investigation by the CHP.
